No, they are not significant and surely she knows that. The majority of people who serve in the US Congress - including her - spend that much on a holiday night out to dinner with the kids and grandkids.
Speaker Pelosi on $600 direct payment checks: "I would like them to have been bigger, but they are significant."

true. $600 NOT sig. indeed! I'd say covers a nice dinner for2 w/a reasonable bottle of wine+tip. in this case, @realDonaldTrump idea of 2k chks is more up to par for those who remain unemployed for no fault of their own. xtra $ is appreciated- but these amnts simply fall short.

Crazy thing is...the $600 is YOUR tax money. This is why you pay taxes. The millionaires that you voted into power should be held accountable. They shouldn’t be bailing out big companies. If companies can’t do their accounts properly then they shouldn’t be in business.

Agree! How did we go backwards here!@SpeakerPelosi @SenSchumer I am so disappointed. My husband did not ask to be off of work since March, we are both educated and hardworking and never expect anything but now we need this, my husband has not worked since March and this is it?
