The US waged a gold war against Russia. "Buzzy" Krongard (Exec Dir of CIA, appointed by Tenet) & George Tenet (frmr Dir of Central Intel for the CIA), under George Bush, spent $250 billion trying to destroy the Russian economy. Putin had to fight very hard to save his country.

Exactly. Many have struggled beyond anything they have ever experienced this year and congress failed to help us along only to drag this for months thinking Americans will be happy to get anything at this point. We’re not happy. We are incredibly disappointed and angry.

I suspect without any push from Congressional Democrats, a crumb would be the only thing most would see. This is another example of how Congressional Republicans use the American people (taxpayers) to leverage for themselves.
