There was something so sad about this on so many different levels.
One $600 check after people went without food for months is an absolute joke.

It's a joke ... and it's called Politics ... the Republicans wanted to make this deal to support their two Senate Candidates in Georgia ... the Democrats should have held out for more ... but they caved ... we need better poker players in Washington.

It's not only sad, it's embarrassing, this country has the capacity to do so much more good. But the corporate owned establishment is evil and counterproductive.

It is a huge letdown after waiting, the buildup, and the promises: a holiday season letdown during the least festive of holiday seasons. Still hoping that trump can change it into a decent amount, cuz he said up to $2000 but $1200 should be the minimum.

They should allow for voluntarily rejecting your $600, so that your share goes back into a pool which can be divided up to people who actually need it. Or something. I honestly don't need $600.

The establishment will continue to be too powerful at the top* until we elect thousands of progressives from the local level on up! The more we elect, the more they can help us elect many more, and so on! This is the way! Here’s a growing list: localberniecrats.com

As @ewarren said repeatedly during the primary, Washington works well for big corporations and wealthy people. Small biz, low income and homeless population have no lobbyists to press members of Congress and we can now all see what happens as a result.

After the biggest upward transfer of wealth (meaning our tax dollars) in history with the CARES Act, this is an affront to all the American people who are hurting and struggling. Those elected officials are either shockingly out of touch or they don't care. And neither is good.
