1/ I don’t doubt Biden’s good intentions or the seriousness of the new admin in trying to tackle the problems of our time. It’s not a criticism but simply a warning to say they literally do not have time to be even remotely gradual or incremental in their efforts to rescue people

2/ They won’t have the first 2 yrs to fundamentally change things; they’ll have first 100 days. He should come on with policies blazing, full FDR, quick massive relief & recovery efforts DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE. Repubs will hate him either way. Be FDR: “I welcome their hatred.”

He'll be a one-termer. He is corp-bought and his corp masters aren't going to let him help the people. Not that he would if he could. Notice he wasn't fighting for people to get a decent stimulus check or a monthly UBI? Or, a moratorium or M4A during this pandemic?

lol, this, but if Bernie had won. Biden literally ran on slowly and gradually doing nothing fundamentally different. You're really setting yourself up for disappointment expecting this. But I understand demanding it and telling him honestly that this is what is needed.

I love you but sometimes I don't know who is more naive Biden for saying the GOP's fever will break when Trump is gone or you for believing Biden can "be FDR". The man told a room full of billionaires "Nothing will fundamentally change for you." I know you mean well, but. Please

Reading the comments makes me realize most of you have no idea how legislation works. A civics class would really be in order. Unless Ds win both seats in GA, which is unlikely (not impossible but unlikely) Biden will HAVE to compromise with Republicans to get anything done

It will be much easier with @ossoff and @ReverendWarnock in the senate

He already said that nothing will fundamentally change. I totally believe him.

Stop, @marwilliamson. You spoke at the People’s Convention. There’s no holding onto hope that @TheDemocrats give a 💩 about #ThePeople. That’s why it’s #DemExit. Stop tweeting this crap about them & what they should do. That’s fucking 30 yrs ago. We’ve seen their playbook.

Cute sentiment but it won’t happen, they will keep being the same party and calling themselves democrats to fool the masses of ppl still blindly following them thinking they’re any dif than R’s... SAD

But everything must step in time to the correct beat at the moment. If we move to quick we startle the opposition, which has already been gaslit and is on the defensive. Rather than talking against, send a push. Keep it steady, keep it balanced. Yet strong.
