1/ I don’t doubt Biden’s good intentions or the seriousness of the new admin in trying to tackle the problems of our time. It’s not a criticism but simply a warning to say they literally do not have time to be even remotely gradual or incremental in their efforts to rescue people

2/ They won’t have the first 2 yrs to fundamentally change things; they’ll have first 100 days. He should come on with policies blazing, full FDR, quick massive relief & recovery efforts DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE. Repubs will hate him either way. Be FDR: “I welcome their hatred.”

Lost me there Marianne. nfw does Biden have good intentions, unless you call self-enrichment good intentions.

lmao what good intentions?
I don't think he despises the activists fighting for this agenda. I believe he is opening the path for them to go full speed ahead: google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com…
I don't agree he denies the science. I believe that if there was a magic wand to reverse the crisis overnight, he would use it in a heartbeat. But such magic does not exist. What we have is a mess that needs to be cleaned up with real world tools, & I hope we clean up fast enough.
Again, civics class. Congress controls spending. Executive can only do so much, but thanks for trying.

Congress controls spending, norm

Congress controls spending. Unless Dems control the Senate, Biden is severely limited in what he can do without Repub support. Those are the facts. People can pout and stomp tgeir feet all they want, it doesn't change the law. That means Biden will HAVE to work with Repubs

This trump base trope is weird. He didn’t have “48 years” to fix our problems. He was always racist and segregationist. He was never well intentioned, tho he might have seen himself that way. Also no white saviors. Sorry marriane.

You might see it differently after you pull your head out of trump’s butt

You’re obviously not an actual activist because activists don’t let politicians make policy without public pressure, and know things are not inevitable (unless ppl only complain on Twitter). I’ve got no bandwidth for armchair activism. Stop complaining and take action yourself.
