1/ I don’t doubt Biden’s good intentions or the seriousness of the new admin in trying to tackle the problems of our time. It’s not a criticism but simply a warning to say they literally do not have time to be even remotely gradual or incremental in their efforts to rescue people

2/ They won’t have the first 2 yrs to fundamentally change things; they’ll have first 100 days. He should come on with policies blazing, full FDR, quick massive relief & recovery efforts DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE. Repubs will hate him either way. Be FDR: “I welcome their hatred.”

I think Biden's team is going to have to reach out to voters to pressure their Congress reps to pass the needed legislation. Voters have to be willing to trust that someone on his team will read/hear what they have to say. Tribalism has us talking to the mirror-it does no good.

The failure to send proper COVID relief has nothing to do with the deficit and everything to do with the profitability of cruelty. The worse they make life for the unemployed, the better an employee you become. The ruling class is glad you're struggling in this time.
