A luxury tax can reduce jobs since some wealthy folks won’t buy due to hate of the tax. But an income tax deduction causing the reverse emotion & more jobs? Meh, I doubt it. . (Hateless wealthy folks for whom luxury tax puts one yacht out of their range will pick a cheaper boat)

86% of Americans don't itemize so those deductions are mostly for the top earners. All non monetary loss deductions should be eliminated and individuals should pay 0 tax on first 20k
