2/ Perhaps the “opioid rich” Sackler family could start - given how “sorry” they are and all? Then maybe “no federal taxes” Jeff Bezos would like to say a few words? It’s amazing in America today how easily we neglect the powerless and protect the powerful.

Senators? They don't care! None of them, the billionaires run the country and their millionaire gremlins in Congress and the Senate have to debate how to keep them happy. They're not gonna bite the hand that feeds them.

What makes you think it would be better if the gov’t had it? Apple doesn’t murder brown people overseas or lock poor people in cages for putting something in their own damn body that the gov’t says they can’t.

That would further corrode trust in government. Other big rich countries already have a government that does its main job - caring for people when/wherever the market fails to do so. The US is the only one not to have guaranteed partial wages to laid off workers, for example.

MacKenzie has donated about $4.4 billion to various charitable causes in the last few months which is astonishing and a sign of great leadership. I agree with you that these billionaires should conspire to donate in unprecedented ways
