MSM is like a strange drug that keeps us more upset than we need to be about some things, but not as upset as we should be about other things. It curates the news in such a way to keep people always on edge about what’s happening but never empowered enough to do anything about it

It’s called propaganda for a reason.

It frames our political and social issues in order to maximize profits; priority isn't to accurately inform. It's informally the fourth branch of gov't, so it's not by happenstance that it's referred to as the Fourth Estate.

It's the mouthpiece & PR Dept. of whatever name people can have for the ruling class. In a money-driven system where roughly 20 men have as much wealth as the rest of the nation combined? It helps to own & filter pretty much all the "information" the public sees & hears. Duh 🙃

I think there are some in MSM that tell and give examples of how to become empowered, and what action we can take. Not a majority, but there are some that do.

Precisely, I'm tired of hearing about White House Christmas parties while millions are suffering with food/housing insecurity & lack adequate health care. Sowing division between everyday people enables the dysfunctional political system/legislators to flourish/prosper.
