MSM is like a strange drug that keeps us more upset than we need to be about some things, but not as upset as we should be about other things. It curates the news in such a way to keep people always on edge about what’s happening but never empowered enough to do anything about it

Great book by Rutger Bergman, Humanity: A hopeful history, discusses how destructive this is to our vision of humanity and why we need to disengage from msm news

MsM keeps us all divided & we have our own issues on division behind safe lines with rouge pundits past grudges trying to screw up MFA

Msm selectively ignores issues. The media should act in the public trust. They have a responsibility to do so. Imagine what would have happened if the media had discussed poverty so that it pressured politicians. What the media ignores has an effect. @MSNBC

Yes, it’s by design. MSM or corporate media is like a sort of reality-based soap opera that one can tune in any day, know the characters, & pick up right where they left off -all done in a way that rarely ever provides the “user” w/ a historical context just crisis of the moment.
Far too much misinformation and far too much drama
