My concern is that people will be so relieved to see Biden become president they’ll be tempted to forget how much pain is still out there and just be excited that everything is “back to normal.” A permanent underclass will have then become a permanent class of invisible sufferers

I think people have already cheered the opportunity to do so

I fear you are right.
What Dr King asked in 1968 was why not "put the truth in the words you wrote?" Our bio reflects full study of his question & the result, applied today For an effective #GeneralStrike "Consent" Withdrawn until all gop are jailed & #RankedChoiceVoting through out the Land

Don’t know about anyone else but I have been legitimately traumatized and will NEVER forget this pain.

Comparisons to Trump have people forgetting how awful Biden is.
You can’t forget if you’re in pain

@marwilliamson and that class will become the place where members of the ACTUAL far right & left find MANY new recruits. There is nothing more dangerous (in good & bad ways) to society than people who have nothing to lose.

I believe that is the desired effect of a Biden Presidency. For the Democrats t's a feature, not a bug.

This is what the left has been saying all along, yet you continued to use your newfound celebrity status to support the #neolibs #JoeBiden & #KamalaHarris. You obviously realize there's no normal to return to, yet you continue to push the #neoliberal agenda that brought us here.

LOL: as with our Amazing Grace singing past president: gets a peace prize because he smiled while drone bombing instead of arrogantly snarling; and in picking up his prize calling fellow humans "small", "evil": vowing to "bomb" them off Earth: and The People chanted: Yes We Can!
