My concern is that people will be so relieved to see Biden become president they’ll be tempted to forget how much pain is still out there and just be excited that everything is “back to normal.” A permanent underclass will have then become a permanent class of invisible sufferers

We are already starting to reverse the outlook on schools opening or closing. For months it's been bad because Trump. Now - this - and the formatting stinks so you have to read down:
Now - and it pains me to say this because I've become reliant on him this pandemic - we are going in another direction and this cannot be lost on us. CNN (and some on MSNBC) pushing for schools to open. After a whole pandemic of tut-tutting.

When things don't "get back to normal" there will be a roar from the disenfranchised. There is no going back IMHO.

True. The work ahead is for all of us, because as we all know, political parties are no longer for the ppl but after power & control. To all of us & specially those awaken & complaining of Biden’s presidency: it’s time to Unite & put all our Blessings to work for the good of all.

Lol. Then they should have thought about that when they voted for Biden as the spiritual bypass. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We can’t afford to slide into complacency, even from a purely cynical electoral perspective. State legislatures are being voted on across the country, and then we have to consider the Mid Terms

The brunch-class is already celebrating and forgetting about the underclass. Both neolibs and neocons serve the same master.
