My concern is that people will be so relieved to see Biden become president they’ll be tempted to forget how much pain is still out there and just be excited that everything is “back to normal.” A permanent underclass will have then become a permanent class of invisible sufferers

I have anxiety about quite a few things, but it’s hard to imagine people behaving like things getting back to normal anytime soon. We’ll have high infection rates for months to come, high unemployment, small businesses shut for good, & Trump running around making wild accusations

The permanent, invisible, suffering underclass already exists. Our numbers are just growing, though.

People aren't going to forget their own suffering and there is plenty of that.

I hear your concern. My hope is that people will hold this administration accountable in keeping their promises like no other.

It’s already happened.

Stop playing both sides. It’s fully obvious

Nobody cares about people like us. Nobody really wants to help. I don’t see a single wealthy progressive or Democrat asking a single poor person what we need. I need a car. This tweet will get 2 likes and drift into oblivion like my life.

After we take a deep breath...We all need to remember that as heinous as Trump was as president he was merely a SYMPTOM of very deep problems. On the same tack, as good as Biden may be, he is only the figurehead of change...Much work to do at many levels!

Of course they will. The exact same thing happened in 2008.
