My concern is that people will be so relieved to see Biden become president they’ll be tempted to forget how much pain is still out there and just be excited that everything is “back to normal.” A permanent underclass will have then become a permanent class of invisible sufferers

The U.S. doesn't need President Joe Symbolism. Our country absolutely requires President Joe Substance.

There has been a permanent class of invisible sufferers. The poor pandemic management from both parties brought them upfront only to be forced back in the shadows once Biden/Harris take office.

Won't happen!!!! However, it will be nice not to have to be so worried all the time that the crazy loon in the WH is going to take a torch to democracy. Good gawd give Biden a chance....

I get where you’re coming from. But how are we going to invite in a greater possibility? Many of us are satisfied with being on the outside of transformation. Addicted to powerlessness.

A permanent underclass has already occurred. Decades ago. Today, authentic journalism is more important than ever. How can we bring the NPR level of reporting into American living rooms?

No one who thinks deeply or reads broadly & knows history will ever become complacent over one presidential win. Four years is not long to do anything & if we don’t win senate in Georgia, it’s Obama 2.0 with McConnell obstructing any meaningful change. Never vote Repub again!
