My concern is that people will be so relieved to see Biden become president they’ll be tempted to forget how much pain is still out there and just be excited that everything is “back to normal.” A permanent underclass will have then become a permanent class of invisible sufferers

Nobody is excited for Joe Biden, are they?

I don’t think anyone is going to be relieved that Biden is president in line for food and/or getting evicted

This is exactly what the shitheads saying “Thank God Biden got elected, now we can go back to brunch” are going to do.

I doubt may will be relieved to see Biden as President...zero accomplishments in 47 years
They will forget. They will go back to brunch because "at least the homeless and unemployed are not dead by covid"
Those that aren’t diligently fighting on the daily to alleviate the suffering of all marginalized humans are the grease on the wheels that grind the oppressed into dust.

The underclass will only be invisible if they don’t vote or, even worse, vote republican.
