My concern is that people will be so relieved to see Biden become president they’ll be tempted to forget how much pain is still out there and just be excited that everything is “back to normal.” A permanent underclass will have then become a permanent class of invisible sufferers

Biden stole the primary from Bernie Sanders. Then stole the general election from Trump.

I am optimistic about future. Progressives have a louder voice. Pressure on regular people is tremendous.

So it is time to stop pretending that the Democratic establishment is not corrupt. We have to speak the truth to end war, transform the energy system, eradicate poverty.

So delusional, relieved to see Biden as President. The man doesn't know what day it is, Socialism is not normal, we are not relieved.

I hear you and understand your fears. However, I think America and "her" people could do with a feeling of relief and excitement. The energetic shift, on that scale, could create a space to transmute the darkness and amplify in the light. Embrace it.

If successful in Georgia, that dynamic won't exist. Too many people who've worked really hard (like you) understand that this will be the most fertile time to push a very progressive agenda. No letting up. There may only be a two year window.

That is exactly what happened under Obama, and he then had free reign to do a foreign policy that was extremely harmful to many countries. A critical eye of the people is to see substance with clarity, and not be fooled by the illusion of surface choreography.
