The 🇨🇦 government has expanded unemployment benefits *and* sent out generous survival checks. You don’t have to be “the richest country on earth” to do both. The 🇨🇦 government issues the C$ and can thus commit to spending whatever it deems appropriate. The 🇺🇸 can too.

👍NDP doubled the CERB for able-bodied workers. Unfortunately the Canadian government did not take care of Canadians living with disability who remain under the poverty line, & have limited coverage for life-saving medicines or mobility aids (wheelchairs); many face homelessness.
