Regardless what you think of any of the actors involved, none of us should underestimate how significant this hacking crisis is. For those of you who pray and meditate, now would be a very good time to do so. Many things could come from this that are dangerous and uncontrollable.

The life of the Amish starts to look pretty good, in light of this. Or perhaps any of a variety of pagan spiritual traditions. The lesson here is that any new technology has its pros and its cons. We would be wise to consider the cons before wholeheartedly embracing the pros.
