The more I learn about the current epidemic of white supremacist groups, the clearer it becomes: we’re losing these people as children. Despair among our youth breeds vulnerability to ideological capture by psychotic forces. If our love doesn’t claim them, hate will.

Seems to me that despair is a symptom of poverty, isolation and marginalization. This year has revealed the terrible flaws of state-by-state solutions. The split is clearly now a national problem that requires a comprehensive federal solution. The GND would be a start.

Exactly. It is trauma. What I call “despairicide.” Racism and contempt flow from self-hatred. It’s systemic and multi-generational. And systems help perpetuate it. @ACEsConnection @ACEsIngrid @healWRITEnow @RobinCogan @RobinCogan @DonnaJackNak @SenDuckworth @SenDuckworth

It always starts with a contempt for women. How do we address that as mothers, sisters, and half the population?

You are so right. It’s a huge growing problem. As for the delusional people who don’t belive you just take a look at who the FBI and DHS labeled as the biggest domestic terror threat in USA: white nationalist groups

You know what would also help? How bout some equal education, free public college and trade schools? How about we make HS like it is in Britain: are you going to college, or do you need a trade? M4A wld help. So wld raising the min. wage.

It would be nice if you provided a little evidence before labeling half the country as white supremacists There is a darkness in your heart that would use deceit to manufacture racial conflict Donald Trump performed better among every minority group this election than in 2016

We are living in an era of cultural despair. There are Christian fascist who place their faith in magic Jesus and teach creationism as science, in our schools. Ten hour long voting lines in states such as Georgia, militia members plot to kidnap gov’s of mi. & Va. an start a war

School programs have been disappearing for generations. Mental health care is almost imp to pursue seriously. Cheap recreation has been replaced by expensive "hobbies". Few interaction ppl have with the govt leave them believing that anyone is actually happy to help with anything
