Heartbreaking and infuriating.
Since the pandemic began, shoplifting of staples has noticeably increased in the United States. People are taking bread, pasta and baby formula. In the wealthiest country in the world, Americans are stealing to survive.

The saddest part of all is America has the money to feed the 1 in 8 people who are food insecure. A withholding of concern and compassion for the suffering of others is not only heartless...It is cruel.

This is a terrible situation, but am I the only one who spent 5 minutes trying to figure out why people needed staples during an epidemic.

That tends to happen when a society that values individual autonomy is locked down for 9 months Crime has gone up in every category Really just proof that officials think there is no problem making illegal the ability to feed your family Lockdowns are deadlier than the virus

Are they stealing TV devices, computers and newly produced tech stuff as well? I bet there's a pattern. Just look at the BLM riots. If they genuinely can't survive and have to seek food/shelter, however, that's certainly sad.

Must be nice to hover above America and look down to see all that is heartbreaking and infuriating and think, "What can I do about it? Oh, yeah, I can be a Twitter scold. That will work."

Imagine an enlightened age where the gifted used their God given talents to create and maintain a plutocracy.
