Racism has been around the corner for like the formation of the Union itself? it never went away, people stood against it and gave their lives.

This is more than racism, just like Nazi attacks on synagogues in the 1930’s were more than routine anti-Semitism that had been around for centuries. There are points in history where precedent warns “Stop this NOW.”
