The power that’s going to rise up to defeat the insanity in our midst is not based on one’s color or religion or ethnicity or socio-economic status or sexuality or side of the political spectrum. It’s the power of conscience and dignity and decency and love.

Sorry but Bernie lost. Now we just have a self-serving, lying, rapey old segregationist and a cop to save us. Fun fact: They won't.

we'll need each & every old saying in the book to make THAT happen . ! "one man's trash is another man's treasure" "you can lead a horse to water . but" "even a broken clock is right twice . ." "the pen is mightier than the sword" "the road less traveled"

That’s the resolution of a Prisoner’s Dilemma. The political right gleefully switched the game to Zero Sum quite some time ago. That complicates matters. If your strategic opponent starts playing Zero Sum you *have to* respond in kind until they relent and bid for a return to PD

I'd like to believe this, but it'd be a lot easier to do so if there were examples in history where this has ever happened, anywhere, at any time.

When your country, decade after decade, treats people of other nations without conscience, dignity, decency or love, its crimes and horrors eventually come home to roost. Because the USA is spiritually bankrupt, no redemptive power will rise to save it. Its soul has no pulse.
