The anger & racism were always there in this country. Simmering just below the surface. But this eruption of violence is a direct result of Trump & his refusal to concede. He has empowered these people to act out. This is why the peaceful transition of power is so important.

Were they the victims, or were the people hitting them defending themselves? What I'm saying is I would like to know the whole story before passing any judgment.

More like 1930 thru 1933....by 1935 it was already a dictatorship. Germany was no longer a democracy with independent judiciary, legislative branch or apolitical military structure.

Showes how embarrassing this county has become in the wake of Trump's Presidential tyrany. I hope those poor assault victims got to where they were going without further incident. The people that act this way do NOT represent us all. My heart bleeds for you.

Too much of Trump and his supporters has looked like the late 1920s and early 1930s...

Not the same!!! Comparing this to 1935 Germany is a very dangerous thing to do, a serious slippery slope!!

Tell ME how countrymen, living side by side, with WILDLY different visions for how the nation should be run, can govern together peacefully by consensus. Cause I'm not certain that is possible at this point.
