Because in Berlin in 1935 numerous people were murdered in their homes by government agencies and nobody would have dared film such a beating as this. The person being beaten up would have been killed as would have the person filming it. Probably their families too.

Surely you’re joking. Jews (and others) were routinely beaten up, killed in the street during daylight.

The thing that made Berlin in 1935 Berlin in 1935 was the role the state played in enabling and encouraging the violence. Not every street fight is the Nazis, even when it's horrible, and I think it's alarmist and irresponsible to suggest it. Still love you, Rabbi @marwilliamson!

I think it’s neither alarmist nor irresponsible. It was in fact a state actor – no less than the President of the U.S. – who initiated and perpetuates this malevolent trend. This was not just a “street fight;” it was a marauding gang of thugs. Thus my reference to Berlin in 1935.

Marianne, are you just going to showcase violence that comes from the right? You’re stoking the fires by doing that and by your rhetoric than you’d like to think

People just need to stay home so there's no "both sides" BS. Let Trump's monsters have their Nazi moment for now, it's only temporary.

I don’t condone such stupidity in any way but the outrage by politicians on the left must be the same as well when similar actions perpetrated by far left people happen and I don’t see that. It’s as if the actions of Stalin or Mao were less horrible 🤦🏻

Just finished The Man In The High Castle yesterday... It’s relevant right now more than ever before. Anyone who is reading this Reply should absolutely watch it.

There is a difference, by 1935 Hither was in power for 2 years. The disturbing part is that it is like Berlin 1928-1933, which means we have some time to deal with it but not much
