2/ In fact that’s exactly what they did in 2000 when SCOTUS overrode ruling of the Florida Supreme Court that they would re-count all their votes.(On later recount, Gore won) Then retired Justice Sandra Day O’Connor said later she regretted her vote. The Iraq War was a result.

True. But, Bush v. Gore in 2000 was wasn't one state trying to overturn another state's election as was the case here.

The difference in this week's case is that one state sued another regarding how they hold their elections. 2000 FL case came from the campaign.
