The book recommendations are good but a check for $1B to a hunger organization plus a public request to ask some of his billionaire friends to also chip in a billion would be even better. American billionaires have made $1 Trillion since the pandemic began.time.com/5918531/bill-gates-…

Is $50B enough or are you expecting more from him?

Yes “chip” in, Bill.

A great point. As the American democracy sinks like the Titanic, the billionaires watch it sink nearby in their luxury yachts, doing nothing. Except what they fail to realize, is they have an attachment to the Titanic. Soon after it goes down, they go down.

Perhaps if Bill had read Michelle Alexander's book 10 years ago when it was published, he might have made a difference & we'd be in a different situation now. He knew. Last year, I pitched Bill on a plan to end racism in our time. Crickets from tax cuts.
30 years ago I pitched Bill Gates on investing in my pioneering CD-ROM company in the desktop mapping marketspace; he declined. Yesterday, I pitched him on my proposal to end the race system in our time. Eager to learn of his reply. (Photo Ann E. Yow-Dyson and Getty Images)

“Chip in” I love it. They make so much it is just a chipped piece of their wealth. Where is the humanity? It’s all about personal economics for them....

Used to despise him, have come to respect and, in some ways, admire him. But he clearly doesn't have a clue how narrow his "audience" for these recs is, and seems blind to the difference in his liesure time to most others. Privilege earned, which he has, is still intoxicating.

Bill Gates has done more than his fair share with philanthropy and giving back to humanity. I get your point with the others but Gates is in a class of his own.
