I'm hopeful for developing a vaccine, medicine, PPE etc. as much as anyone but it makes me uncomfortable how resistant officialdom is to even discussing boosting the immune system through vitamins etc. Edging out anything but pharmaceutical formulation is wrong-minded & obsolete

If vitamins worked for infectious diseases, we'd use them. But they don't, so we don't.

I suspect in part that is because boosting the immune system through vitamins is not a thing.

Is it weird that this crisis has been guided largely by big corporations while big corporations are seeing record profits and consolidation of power?

So many charlatans around homeopathy, “nutraceuticals”, you name it, vs curing a virus with science / vaccine. Boosting your immune system can’t hurt, might help you survive covid, but no replacement for a vaccine.

I’m surprised there is at least some stuff on efficacy of Vitamin D and Melatonin though

Boost the immune system too much and you are susceptible to the cytokine storm that kills people.
