It's naive to think we're gonna be a beautiful butterfly on the other side rather than a destructive moth flying into a flame.
Caterpillars disintegrate into a soup of "imaginal cells" out of which emerges a butterfly. That's where the world is now. One way of being is disintegrating; people are imagining new ways of doing & thinking about things, relating to self and others. It won't stay soup for long.

The difference between humanity and caterpillars is that we have free will. We’ll be whatever we individually and collectively decide to be.

I admire your optimism. But, we collectively are very different and have different ideas on the direction of the country. The problem is, one half, thinks the other half's direction is terrible. What you might think of us being a butterfly, I might not.

The best outcome is rugged individuality and personal liberty. That way, people individually can be whatever they choose.
