Please tell me he didn’t say that.
CNN - 12/8/2020 - Asked about opposition from #BernieSanders, progressives and Josh Hawley "The economist that I'm talking to, they say listen, we don't know if stimulus checks are really needed right now, a lot of American would probably save that money rather than spend it "

He did. He said that. People haven’t paid rent and other bills since March, people need to feed themselves and their families. But sure let’s go with people won’t spend the money.

That's utter ... BULLSHIT... for someone who's trying to support a family, pay the rent or the mortgage and put food on the table ... putting a stimulus check into savings would be a fantasy!

Omg. They created this. If that’s actually their concern then people need the security of reoccurring payments in order to spend. A one off tiny payment when who knows if anything else is coming... what are people meant to do?

Equivocation. 20% of 328mil people is "a lot." But "nearly 70 percent of Americans have less than $1,000 stashed away." Most Americans are just getting by. gobankingrates.com/saving-mo…
