The military knows how to wage war, and I respect that. But those who know how to wage peace should be given equal respect - and equal funding. Then we will be able to save the world.

The Key is Education ... People need to be educated in relation to what's really important in this world ... once they get it ... they will be on board!

we need backers. like maybe a network of progressives in business to help each other, and progressive causes. maybe teach progressives how to start and manage a business, accounting etc then we can fund peace efforts better. maybe even do better than the warmongers.

Marianne, please don’t become like that. War is nothing to respect, no one ever comes out the winner except the companies that sell weapons and get cheap labor

You don't know about the United States Institute for Peace?!? Understandable, they don't make much news. Probably because the USIP has about a $45 million dollar budget. Or about 0.006% of the Pentagon's $686 Billion dollar budget.

?? Being able to destroy shit and kill people does not deserve respect. It's one thing that has always come easily to our species, so we're genuinely good at it.

The military should be for defense and not an occupying force to enable business for the 1%. Forget equal funding...people deserve the majority of the funding...it is our nation, not theirs.

How do you respect people whose job is to kill other humans? We will not progress or even survive until the military industrial complex and even nationalism are eliminated.
