Imagine what America would be like now if every adult knew they’d be getting $2k/mo (retroactively to when the pandemic began) & $1k for every child. Imagine how much panic, suicidal despair, domestic conflict & hunger would fall away. And be clear: we have the money to do that.

If hyperinflation is a lack of productive capacity, Do we have the productive capacity to match that money being put into the economy? It seems to me like we do with all the surplus goods that we produce. AS is people are broke and can't buy much stuff.

Yes, we have the money and a moral imperative to do so. What do we have a country for, if not to take care of the people?

How much money can we create without it losing too much value? Have we already overdone it, and just don't know it yet? Like the cartoon character who has overrun the cliff...and hasn't yet looked down?

I had an client/accountant complain that some people were getting to much money from unemployment and they wouldn't go back to work ... that tells me their pay is to low.
