A $2T tax cut where 83% went to the richest among us. $760B a year to the Pentagon. $4T in Covid relief (only 1/5 of it to individuals). Yet they won’t give a $1200 stimulus check to individuals who need it now in order simply to survive. I am so ashamed of my country right now.

We have a two-party system (about to collapse into fragments) and a Congress of 435 + 100 (both chambers) trying to run a country of 330,000,000 people? It’s absurd on the face of it! Of course it’s going to malfunction. It’s fertile ground for big money influence.

And this IS the doing of both the corporate funded Republicans and corporate funded Democrats. They share equal blame.

And so you should be. Remember the first ever financial audit of the Pentagon (resisted almost to the death) which found that it had "lost" over $2T of funds over the course of a couple of decades? How much suffering could that funding have eased (in the US and abroad).

Don’t be ashamed. IMP, most important thing is to know when to have patience & when to have courage. India is a good example. They know how to strike in mass and practice civil disobedience and we don’t. We’re not the same caliber of people like in FDR‘s time. It’s time to rise.
