I don’t know when it’s going to happen nor how much pain needs to happen first, but there’s no way this time of crisis isn’t going to ultimately lead to a social & political renaissance. This much shattering of illusions can’t help but lead to the emergence of some hidden truths.

Careful. People react violently when their illusions are shattered. "You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it." youtube.com/YgJ5ZEn67tk

Have you read Neil Howe’s book The Fourth Turning? It’s all explained there. Not the outcome but the fact civilizations go thru cycles lasting 80-90 years. We are in the last part of our 4th cycle and they always lead to major change.

One of those sobering truths: people will cling to personal rights in order to allay themselves of any guilt or responsibility as citizens in a society during any tragedy -- 26 children gunned down in a school, or over 200, 000 people dying from a virus.
