Everyone psychoanalyzing Trump & wondering what mental diagnosis historians will give him. But a larger point is the pathology of the culture that gave rise to him: a money obsessed political system that made the outsized businessman a false god. Correct that or he will reappear.

You're talking about Goldwater-isk rules & guidelines vs is it possible. With Trump there is zero doubt what his primary diagnosis is...

I think there is an important difference between "you can't" and it isn't allowed under the ethics rules. There is more than enough public information to make a number of statements and form a possible diagnosis. That said, there is good reason we generally don't diagnose.

Our country was built on exploiting and harming people and planet for economic profit. don’t heal from that trauma, there is no healthy way forward. #leadwithkindness #leadwithhealing

“..the pathology of culture that gave rise to him: 2 parties dominated by elite bred/educated power accumulators, stifling freedom, removed from citizen/voters, bent on fortifying status quo.” Interloper wins, vowing to disrupt broken system & keeps promises.Swamp goes apoplectic

An economic system like capitalism leads to wealth and power being concentrated by the few. This is a necessary ingredient of fascism. Until we change the economic system, all roads will continue to lead to fascism in America.

Though It’s true that his public persona cannot be taken as an exact reflection of his inner life, overall there is abundant evidence he he is a malignant narcissist who lacks empathy. But you’re missing Marianne’s larger pt about society.

I think that extreme suspicion of specialized professionals that run the daily operations of federal, state, and local government is an important piece. Government can’t be accountable if people choose ignorance combined with blind suspicion.

It is the adverse childhood experiences: ACEs. A society filled with traumatized people becomes accustomed to living in flight, fight, freeze and/or FAWN. Many fawn over Trump like wounded and desperate children trying to appease a destructive parent or caregiver. @ACEsConnection

When we have a society focused on well-being of humans instead of the economy; focused on helping parents — especially single moms — instead of demonizing them; making life harder than it is to be (think supported childcare, Medicare for all vs bankrupting medical bills) equity!
