Is the best way to push Biden in a less corporatist & more humanitarian direction to stay within the Democratic Party in exchange for perceived (or imaginary) access, or to form another party that could actually threaten the citadels? Not saying I know the answer; I’m just asking

I don’t KNOW the answer either, however I would suggest forming another party is enormously the more favorable action to take. Remaining with the Democratic Party would leave one within a system he or she must combat. That never works. Create anew.

@meaganmday has written a lot about how 3rd party is a good idea but the timing isn’t right until we have enough of us in government and party leadership seats first. Otherwise the two majors will target and crush it, even with Bernie leading.

It's a joke to believe that either of the major parties is going to be pushed in either direction to help the citizens of the U.S. All these politicians do what they do at the guidance of the all-mighty dollar, provided to them from their donors.

You could probably run in a primary against a corporate Dem.

I think the time to use the leverage was BEFORE the election. I don't see Biden going 'left' at all but heh at least we don't have that 'dictator' in office. We will get someone far worse if we don't change the direction of this country before the next presidental election.

There are always more than just two options. The states enacted same sex marriage in a record 11 years. Sanctuary cities are leading the way in immigration reform. Cannabis policy is moving forward as Washington stays in gridlock. Giant political parties are over. We’re doing it.

The fastest way is a general strike. Millions of people committed to bringing corporations to their knees. When CEO’s and shareholder profits grind to a halt, they’ll do the pushing left.

There is no longer a way to push Biden left. He doesn't give a rat's rear who you vote for in 2022 or 2024 because he'll be pushing daisies. But the only leverage you have against the Democrats is your vote and only if you're willing to not vote for them.

I'd say another party. Sadly, the Dems will never really be the progressive party while the old guard is still running it.
