Is the best way to push Biden in a less corporatist & more humanitarian direction to stay within the Democratic Party in exchange for perceived (or imaginary) access, or to form another party that could actually threaten the citadels? Not saying I know the answer; I’m just asking

It’s the right question! On both sides of the DNC/ Revolutionary Progressive divide there are decent hardworking practical people and on both sides there are dishonest scumbags.

Form another party, or better yet, a coalition of independents. There are fundamental things we can agree on. We need a real option. You should speak with @TulsiGabbard and @ajamubaraka and @justinamash for a start. Please do this.

Stay within until such a time when the system is modified towards star or ranked choice voting.

I'm 70 & I've been Socialist for 51 yrs now. Things have gone from difficult to bad to worse for working class in those yrs. Have been working w/i Dem Party most of those years, to no avail. Time to try something new. That said, I will vote for Justice Dems who earn my vote.

The DNC argued in court that they can pick their own candidates in a back room deal despite the will of the voters in’17. This year it was obvious they did just that and in so doing the Dem Party signed their own death warrant. Let’s deliver it to them. @PeoplesParty_US

MW- until our electoral structure is changed in a real, substantive way to accommodate third parties, third parties will not be the answer. You can't play baseball on a tennis court. Infiltrate and change from within It was the only winnable strategy.

Starting a third party is fraught with danger. You need a more proportional voting system before proceeding. Best stay inside and fight.

another party would do nothing :// our only choice is to work within the dems

The Democratic Party do not have to be accountable to their constituencies because they are accountable to their donors. We should be building a movement outside of the Democratic Party and focusing on improving the material conditions of the millions of nonvoters.
