Why does the media talk so much more about the coronavirus than about the food lines, the evictions, the social consequences of all that despair? There are many ways to ruin a life and damage a nation.

The media seems to be invested in a narrative of personal irresponsibility. Which granted is part of the issue. However they don’t like to mention those of us who were dragged kicking and screaming out of lockdown so the DOW line goes back up and have to get on with our lives now

Yes, there are.... and the simple answer Is denial.... if nobody talks about the MILLIONS of us absolutely devastated by the inept posturing of our so called leaders... maybe we will not notice? I am trying to find a way to tell my child that utilities are Christmas this yr

Because it is a profit cash cow. Far too many are profiting from the suffering. @USCongress’ paychecks should be furloughed until #StimulusNow is in place. #SisterGiant
