Rather than stand up for the poor and helpless in society we marginalise them so much that they don’t believe their choice matters and they don’t vote. This needs to change

come on Marianne that is absurd...plenty is spent on all of the Great Society programs. Now if you want to have a discussion of how much is wasted by the bureaucrats in program administration that is an interesting discussion

Just like the "war on drugs" we ended up going in the wrong direction. It's almost as if we get more of whatever we focus on. 🤔
Isn't this post a bit late? Time to think positive, we have a new beginning.
It didn't take long to get that way. Similarly the War on Drugs was actually a war on poor drug users.
