When you’re checking out a politician, don’t just consider what they talk about. Think about the things they choose not to talk about at all. The main complicity lies in silence about some things that actually matter most.

The most underrated and understated strategy by progressives atm is the down-ballot movement. That is the way we will gain the leverage needed to win big at the highest levels of government. 2021 elections are coming, filing periods are here! Like @ninaturner says, Talk about it!

Not an attack, just an instructive observation: Our biggest progressive leaders aren’t explicitly telling supporters to run for office down-ballot. Virtually none are talking about our opportunities in 2021 like VA and NJ legislatures, local offices across the US. Thought, M?

Good point ... Biden talks about the pandemic, a medicare option (paid for out of pocket, not out of taxes) ... and bringing back the economy ... he never talks about healthcare as a right ... a guaranteed minimum income ... free college ... and eliminating college loans ... etc.

Ignore their bullshit speeches and study their record instead. In both Biden's and Harris's cases, had people done that, they'd have erupted in protest against both Biden's suspicious nomination and Kamala's appointment as VP. The oligarchy won the election. The people lost.

the 3 things i check is: -what is their voting record (i'm amazed that all people don't do this) -who donates to them (that's who they'll represent) -are they a zionist (do they support an apartheid regime)
