The United States has an estimated 7,000 nuclear bombs in our arsenal. Ask yourself sincerely whether or not you think we need all those to protect our safety. Hint: building one nuke costs over $8Billion.

In all fairness, some people having a nuclear bomb would be a really really really bad thing. I wasn’t trying to say that our having so many means it’s OK for everyone else to have more.

The US has caused more destruction without nukes than all those countries combined. Why is it such a bad idea for others to have deterrents? Who gets to choose who is good and bad?

I find it interesting how quickly some people are to wring their hands about who should and shouldn't have one when they're from the only country in history thats ever actually used one.
