Even a couple dozen would be overkill for human extinction. I don’t see how their very existence isn’t a threat to national security or the world at large. But perhaps that’s part of our military prowess.

721.5 billion dollars was budgeted for the US military for 2020 with actual spending being over 900 billion. This is more than remaining top ten militaries combined. Wall Street got 4.5 trillion to keep it afloat for a few days. The priority isn't the people.
