There is nothing anti-religious about politicians seeking to protect the health of their constituencies by limiting the number of congregants in a closed space during a pandemic; what’s anti-religious is to use God as an excuse for doing something that you know could harm people.

Something similar to what socialism is trying to do.

Have you ever been to a socialist country? Let’s say, western Europe? Are you under the impression they were less free than we are?

Not socialist. Capitalist countries with large social safety nets and incredibly high tax rates. That doesn't mean a planned command economy.
