There is nothing anti-religious about politicians seeking to protect the health of their constituencies by limiting the number of congregants in a closed space during a pandemic; what’s anti-religious is to use God as an excuse for doing something that you know could harm people.

What’s anti religious is when people ‘use’ God to further their agenda - it’s downright blasphemy Worse is when they use the ‘Devil’ as an excuse for their transgressions ...I.e. “I was possessed by Satan “ ... and people ask why I don’t follow ‘organized’ religion ...

“The lazy man says, ‘There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!” i.e. people sometimes mask base motives with appeals to health and safety. The inconsistent use of COVID restrictions all year long have made it impossible to trust government officials at this point.

If we can meet to protest we can meet for religious reasons too. Freedom of peaceable assembly and freedom of religion are inseparable.

Agreed, but using fear to limit freedom is wrong. How can government tell people to stay home, not support their families, without asking banks to halt mortgage payments, credit card bills, utilities, rent, resulting in millions unemployed, evicted, hungry, hopeless. It's wrong!

What a world. I'm agreeing with Marianne Williamson.

Holding congregation during a pandemic without mask enforcements is a continuation of the leading force for why young people are leaving the church for good.

If they want to legislate their faith I want their "faiths" to pay taxes

When those same politicians have $500 per plate 20 people dinner parties with no masks or social distancing while telling you you can only have 5 people in your church it very much is.
