The issue isn’t capitalism vs socialism, so much is conscience and ethics versus soulless sociopathy. Without a change in consciousness either one becomes corrupt.

But what if the capitalist mode of production tends to turn a bunch of us into soulless sociopaths and a socialist mode of production tends to make us a little more ethical? Like what if we actually have to change the mode of production to change the collective consciousness?

You cannot fix capitalism because you cannot eliminate sociopathy. You have to mitigate it by distributing power among the people, not concentrating it to an owner class.

Marianne will you go on Peter Joseph’s podcast or have him on yours or both? He has some very notable things to say on this topic which I am sure you are aware of. I think it is an important discussion to have as there is so much confusion when we start talking about ethics.
