Don’t go there. They want us to go there. We must not go there.

Giving up at any level is a mistake but working on local politics is a better use of our time in my opinion, the structure built at the local level (labor, activism, & electoral) will pay dividends at the state level and so on

For sure! But it still has to be both/and.

It's true. @lcmoser was winning w/ $150,000 Then DCCC does this: huffpost.com/entry/dccc-laur… $5.8 MILLION for Fletcher to squeak by w/ 50.8% opensecrets.org/races/summar… The closer the election/worse the opponent, the more money they make. Winning isn't the point. Making money is.

My sentiments exactly. Black Americans haven't given up. Feminists haven't given up. No one can afford to give up.

oh we're there alright, you're just still in denial
Who is “they”?? Are “they” watching us right now?? 😳😳
Love ypu, Marianne, but we are there. With eyes wide open~ 💜👁️👁️💜
Not giving up, but doing things differently. What is the best use of my time? How can I make things change?
We need more people like Marianne. Feel like most folks anywhere close to the circle of federal politics are disconnected from the bulk of us trying to keep our chin up. Thanks for this.

We're literally not allowed to "go there" though. That's the whole point. Millennials and younger will NEVER be allowed to actually wield levers of power. Boomers and Gen X will gobble every crumb of power and money left to do. We will be scolded and condescended to our deaths.
