They really need to beef up teaching civics in the schools. Tens of millions of Americans clearly know nothing about the difference between a democracy and a police state. Even worse, when they learn they seem to prefer the latter.

That's an interesting observation ... In a police state you can "Veg Out" in front of the TV and the police state will run everything for you ... In a real democracy ... you need to get up off you butt ... get involved ... and vote!
