I think this is changing. As more and more Generation X and Millennials start running for elected office you will see a fundamental change in how things are done. Andrew Yang and like it or not Trump used social media brilliantly. You reached our consciousness!

Our political system is working as intended. It was set up to give the people the appearance of democracy, while protecting the interests of the ruling class. The only meaningful change has come when people get in the streets, often at great cost.
