How do we get beyond the manufactured animosity that is stoked by all our media to reach the point of understanding that we are all we have. There's literally no future without common empathy and the kindness that it engenders

Just reading Sapiens now and he indicates it is the collective stories we tell each other that make large cohesive nations possible. It occurs to me that the story of America is at a crisis. Is it freedom? Capitalism? The constitution? Or is it racism, violence, and injustice?
