The reason restrictions on businesses is so devastating is because people have no other way to get money to survive. That’s why we should pay people $2k/mo. - so they can stay home!! That’s the best way to build a bridge from where we are now to a Covidless world.

Exactly Marianne. Firstly, that money will not only help people survive this pandemic, it will help stop the spread of the virus...AND unlike the trillions given to the rich who don’t need it, that money would go right back into the economy! It’d be super stimulative! Win win!
