Until we get the $ out of politics $ will rule us. Either corporate $ holds the levers of power in America, or we do. It might be decades before we can overturn Citizens United, but we can work hard for a constitutional amendment to establish public funding for Federal campaigns.

Air time (political ads) on TV should be limited to a specific time, 2 times a week, and should be free.

We need our Congress to put forth a proposal to overturn CU so we can get Dems and Reps names on it first. Need to find out who's really working for the people versus who is working for the oligarchy. This should be a bipartisan issue but we'll see how many signs the proposal.

Calling a Constitutional Convention while so many people R in conservative mode won't go well. They will pass a balanced budget amendment instead -which will basically turn us into Greece. A better bet is "The Exceptions Clause" -Art 3/Sec 2 of the Constitution. @joefirestonephd

This nation is too divided to ever pass a constitutional amendment again.

And look at the connected/big picture - where does all this "campaign" money actually go? Seems a big slice goes to advertising/marketing campaigns which are run by/for the benefit of? Big media corporations who in turn are political donors. The self interests have self interests

The other thing that can work is ***refusing to subscribe to the lesser of two evils*** method of control. It’s done on purpose, consciously. Openly and aggressively rejecting it absolutely will free us sooner.

An amendment FFS - we still have not passed the ERA ffs. Too pie in the sky - I say we break up the union - I'm in CA - time to leave - I like the idea of a West Coast Alliance.
